Promoting the art house in the age of the multiplex
Belfast's beloved QFT needed a rebrand when we became involved. Its faithful followers knew that it was warm, welcoming and open-minded but we had to find a way to communicate its enlightened character to others. A new brand had to work across all types of print from film posters to tickets and needed to function on-line in the drive for a new audience and increased ticket sales. We had to make this non-mainstream cinema popular without losing its edginess. The projected light logo suggests illumination, inspiration and entertainment. It's simple. It works. It doesn't draw attention to itself it points to the film.
